Building demolition - Southport

Switch Ecology carried out a Preliminary Roost Assessment (PRA) of a college building prior to demolition of the building, which was derelict and required demolition for safety and to allow the redevelopment of the site.

The PRA inspected the building, internally and externally, including assessing the roof and higher areas of the walls using a pole camera and drone, allowing a thorough inspection of all areas of the building.

The building was assessed to provide negligible opportunities for roosting bats, due to the lack of suitable features around the building, and no bats or bat field signs were identified. A comprehensive report was prepared confirming the findings of the survey.
